Description

Stir-Fried Pak Choi with Green Onions and Ginger

Ingredients

  • Peanut Butter 2 tablespoons
  • Pak choi salad 25 oz
  • Grated Ginger Root 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic 4 cloves
  • Green onion tops 2 pieces
  • Coarse Salt 1 teaspoon
  • Sugar 1 teaspoon
  • White Pepper (whole) ¼ teaspoon

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Cut the bottom off each head of pak choi and slice it thinly crosswise. Rinse well under running water and dry.

Step 2

In a wok over high heat, heat the peanut oil, but do not let it smoke. Add the ginger, finely chopped green onions, and thinly sliced garlic. Stir-fry for about 15 seconds.

Step 3

Add the pak choi, salt, sugar, and white pepper. Stir-fry for a minute, then pour in 1 tablespoon of water, cover with a lid, and cook for 30 seconds until the pak choi wilts. Remove the lid and stir-fry for a few more seconds. Cover again, reduce the heat, and cook for another 30 seconds. Serve immediately.
