  • Peanut Butter 2 tablespoons
  • Grated Ginger Root 2 pieces
  • Minced garlic 1 tablespoon
  • Red Long Chili Peppers 6 pieces
  • Water ½ cup
  • Turnips 10 oz
  • Soy Sauce 2 tablespoons
  • Sichuan pepper a pinch
  • Salt to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Heat a wok over medium heat and add the peanut oil, spreading it evenly over the surface. Add the garlic, thinly sliced ginger, and chili, and stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.

Step 2

Add the peeled and very thinly sliced carrots and stir-fry for one minute.

Step 3

Pour in the water and soy sauce, cover with a lid, and simmer until the water evaporates.

Step 4

Then add the lightly crushed Sichuan pepper. Cook for another minute and serve.
