- Artichoke bottoms 6 pieces
- Lemon 1 piece

Step 1
Prepare the artichokes. To do this, cut off about 1.5 cm from the top of each with a sharp knife. Then, use scissors to trim the thorny tips from the leaves. Squeeze lemon juice over the cut surfaces.
Step 2
In a large pot, bring water to a boil, place a colander on top, and put the artichokes in it with the leaves facing down. Steam over the boiling water for 30-40 minutes until the bottoms are tender (you can check this by piercing the bottoms with the tip of a knife).
