Squid Appetizer with Rice

Ingredients
- Squid 6 pieces
- Rice 5 oz
- Garlic 3 cloves
- Carrot 1 piece
- Onion 1 head
- Vegetable Oil 0 fl oz
- Mayonnaise 0 fl oz
- Passata Tomato Sauce to taste
- Salt to taste
- Bay leaf to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Boil the rice in water until cooked for 15–20 minutes.
Step 2
Peel the carrot and onion, grate them on a coarse grater, and sauté in a pan with vegetable oil, stirring for 5 minutes.
Step 3
Add the boiled rice to the vegetables and simmer for 5 minutes, seasoning with salt and pepper.
Step 4
Remove from heat and let cool.
Step 5
Mix the prepared filling with mayonnaise.
Step 6
Boil the whole cleaned squids in salted water with spices (pepper, bay leaf) for 2 minutes.
Step 7
Drain and let cool.
Step 8
Stuff the squids with the filling, place under a weight, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Step 9
Before serving, drizzle the squids with tomato sauce mixed with crushed garlic.
