
Spicy Yogurt Marinade with Indian Spices

Description
This is a great marinade for chicken, fish, and seafood on the grill. The amount of marinade is approximately enough for 1 kg of chicken or fish fillet.
Ingredients
- Toasted Cumin Seeds 2 teaspoons
- Coriander essential oil 1 teaspoon
- Mustard Greens 1 teaspoon
- Paprika 1 tablespoon
- Cayenne Pepper ½ teaspoon
- Salt ½ teaspoon
- Turmeric ½ teaspoon
- Natural Yogurt ½ cup
- Onion 1 head
- Lime Juice 2 tablespoons
- Garlic 4 cloves
- Grated Ginger Root 1 tablespoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a well-heated skillet, toast the cumin, coriander, and mustard seeds until fragrant, about 2 minutes. Let cool and grind in a coffee grinder or mortar. Transfer to a bowl.
Step 2
Add paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and turmeric.
Step 3
In a blender, combine yogurt, lime juice, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, and ginger. Blend slightly and add the spices. Blend again lightly.
