Description

This dish is incredibly simple yet delicious — it's my grandmother's go-to recipe. She has personally preferred (and for good reason) a certain brand of spaghetti for many years — you know, the one with the little chef on the package. To avoid unauthorized advertising, the name is omitted :) If desired, you can use any meat instead of liver.

Ingredients

  • Beef Kidneys 10 oz
  • Durum wheat 10 oz
  • Onion 1 head
  • Garlic 1 clove
  • Butter 0 oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

In boiling salted water, add the spaghetti and cook until al dente (depending on the type, the time may vary from 4 to 10 minutes).

Step 2

Meanwhile, melt the butter in a skillet, add the chopped onion and garlic, and sauté until golden brown.

Step 3

Increase the heat and add the finely chopped liver, sauté until fully cooked.

Step 4

Transfer the cooked spaghetti to a colander and rinse with cold water.

Step 5

Add to the liver, mix, and simmer for another 3 minutes under a lid.
