Step 1

In a large pot of salted water, cook the spaghetti. The cooking time depends on the specific type, so check the package for details.

Meanwhile, sauté the thin stalks of green asparagus in butter over medium heat for about a minute. Add halved cherry tomatoes and, gently stirring, cook for about three minutes, seasoning with salt and pepper.
