Spaghetti Bolognese
Ingredients
- Olive Oil 1½ tablespoons
- Onion 1 head
- Garlic 1 clove
- Lean Beef 20 oz
- Passata Tomato Sauce 1 tablespoon
- Red Grape Juice 5 fl oz
- Bay leaf 1 piece
- Fresh Mushrooms 5 oz
- Crushed Tomatoes in Their Own Juice 15 oz
- Spiced Tomato Juice 1 tablespoon
- Spaghetti 20 oz
- Grated Pecorino Pepato Cheese 0 oz
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Dice the onion, and chop the garlic and tomatoes.
Step 2
In olive oil, sauté the onion until golden. Add the garlic and sauté for another minute.
Step 3
Add the ground beef and sauté for 5–6 minutes. Stir in the tomato paste, pour in the wine, cover, and bring to a boil. Add the tomatoes, bay leaf, mushrooms, and tomato sauce, season, and simmer for 1.5 hours.
Step 4
Cook the spaghetti in salted water, drizzle with olive oil, and toss.
Step 5
Pour the sauce over the spaghetti, mix, and sprinkle with cheese.
