Smoked Hamburgers with Cheese and Bacon on the Grill
Ingredients
- Bacon 4 pieces
- Onion ½ head
- Garlic 4 cloves
- Lean Beef 5 lbs
- Smoked salt 2 tablespoons
- Barbecue sauce 3 tablespoons
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Smoked Chechil 5 oz
- Sesame bun 8 pieces
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat a skillet and fry the bacon pieces until crispy. Transfer to a paper towel, let cool, and chop into small pieces.
Step 2
Leave 1 tablespoon of bacon fat in the skillet and sauté the finely chopped onion until soft, about 3 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute. Transfer to a plate and let cool.
Step 3
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, paprika, barbecue sauce, bacon, and onion with garlic. Season with salt and pepper and mix the meat well.
Step 4
Divide the meat mixture into 16 portions and shape them into flattened round patties. Place grated cheese on half of them and cover with the remaining patties. Seal the patties together to prevent the cheese from leaking.
Step 5
Preheat the grill.
Step 6
Place the patties on the oiled grill grate and cook for about 6-8 minutes on each side. Transfer to a plate and let rest for 2-3 minutes.
Step 7
Slice the buns in half and place a patty in each.
