Description

I prefer Tallinn sprats above all others. However, in the absence of premium ones, we settle for the simple.

Ingredients

  • Rye Bread 10 oz
  • Vegetable Oil 0 fl oz
  • Sprats 1 can

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Take a can of spiced sprats and clean all the fish. I do this with two forks: one to pierce the fish, and the other to carefully remove the fillet from both sides. It's a meditative activity, I must say.

Step 2

Now for the main part. Take half a loaf of bread, slice it thinly, then cut each slice into 4 pieces and fry on both sides in vegetable oil until they become firm. Place them on a plate and let them cool.

Step 3

On the cooled pieces, place the cleaned sprats and pour a shot of vodka from a chilled glass.
