Sicilian Caprese
Ingredients
- Tomatoes 20 oz
- Olive Oil 1 tablespoon
- White Balsamic Cream 1 tablespoon
- Melted Cheese 10 oz
- Meyer Lemon Juice 1 tablespoon
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Fresh basil leaves 1 bunch
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Slice the tomatoes into round slices about 5mm thick.
Step 2
Cut the mozzarella in the same way as the tomatoes.
Step 3
Make the sauce: mix olive oil, balsamic sauce, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until smooth (instead of balsamic sauce and lemon juice, you can use 1 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar).
Step 4
Arrange the tomatoes, cheese, and basil leaves on a plate in alternating layers. Drizzle generously with sauce on top and serve immediately.
