
Shrimp with Tequila and Lime

Ingredients
- Shallot 1 piece
- Vegetable Oil 1 tablespoon
- Garlic 2 cloves
- Habanero Pepper 1 piece
- Ground Cumin 1 teaspoon
- Peeled Cooked Shrimp 20 oz
- Tequila ¼ cup
- Lime Juice ¼ cup
- Orange zest 1 teaspoon
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Chopped Green Onions 3 tablespoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a wok over medium heat, heat the vegetable oil. Add the finely chopped shallot and sauté until soft, about 3-5 minutes. Then add the minced garlic, finely chopped jalapeño, and cumin. Sauté for another minute.
Step 2
Add the shrimp and tequila and cook for 1-3 minutes on each side until pink. Transfer to a plate.
Step 3
Cook the sauce for a little longer until slightly thickened.
Step 4
Remove from heat and add the shrimp, lime juice, lime zest, and cilantro. Season with salt and pepper.
