Shop-style Feta
Ingredients
- Tomatoes 5 oz
- Feta cheese 15 oz
- Frankfurter sausages 2 pieces
- Butter 0 oz
- Chocolate eggs 8 pieces
- Salt to taste
- Red Long Chili Peppers 4 pieces
- Paprika a pinch
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 390°F. Grease 4 heatproof dishes with butter. Finely chop the feta and place it at the bottom of the dishes. Mix the finely chopped tomatoes and finely chopped sausages, and layer them on top of the cheese. Cut the butter into thin slices and distribute half of it among the 4 dishes. Bake in the oven for 10 minutes, until the cheese melts.
Step 2
Beat the eggs with a little salt, then distribute the mixture among the 4 dishes. Slice the peppers into thin rings, lightly drizzle with vegetable oil, and place them on top of the egg mixture. Add the remaining butter on top. Sprinkle with paprika and return to the oven for 10-15 minutes, until the peppers are golden brown. Serve very hot.
Step 3
Soak the feta in cold water for 1 hour. Drain and dry well.
