
Shakshuka with Sweet Peppers

Description
The peppers should be sweet and firm so that their flesh remains recognizable after cooking. If you are using salty feta cheese, you may not need to add any salt to the shakshuka.
Ingredients
- Orange Bell Peppers 2 pieces
- Tomatoes 3 pieces
- Cilantro 0 oz
- Chicken Egg 4 pieces
- Vegetable Oil 0 fl oz
- Feta cheese 0 oz
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Slice the peppers into strips and sauté them in a hot skillet with vegetable oil for 2–3 minutes. Then reduce the heat and simmer the peppers for a few more minutes until they are tender.
Step 2
Add a few cilantro leaves and coarsely chopped tomatoes, and sauté, stirring, for a few more minutes until the tomatoes soften. Season with salt and pepper.
Step 3
Make several indentations in the vegetables for the eggs, carefully place the eggs in them without breaking the yolks. Add pieces of feta cheese and a bit more cilantro, then place in an oven preheated to 355°F for 3 minutes.
