Description

If you don't have black molasses, substitute it with muscovado sugar, the darkest of cane sugars.

  • Semolina 5 oz
  • Milk 10 fl oz
  • Raw cane sugar 1 teaspoon
  • Black Pomegranate Molasses 1 teaspoon
  • Ground Cinnamon 0.2 teaspoons
  • Grated Ginger Root 0.1 teaspoons
  • Light Raisins, Seedless 1 tablespoon
  • Chopped almonds 1 tablespoon

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

In a saucepan, combine the milk, sugar, molasses, cinnamon, and ginger, stir, bring to a boil, and gradually add the semolina while stirring continuously. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.

Step 2

Remove the finished porridge from heat and serve in bowls. Top with raisins and pecans, and drizzle lightly with black molasses.
