Ingredients
- Semolina 5 oz
- Milk 15 fl oz
- Butter 0 oz
- Grated Pecorino Pepato Cheese 0 oz
- Whole egg 1 piece
- Salt ½ teaspoon
- Ground Black Pepper ⅓ teaspoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Combine milk, butter, salt, and pepper and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Gradually stir in the semolina into the boiling milk. Turn off the heat and let the pot sit covered on the stove for 20 minutes.
Step 2
Add the Parmesan cheese. Stir until the cheese melts.
Step 3
Add the egg yolk.
Step 4
Roll the dough out to a thickness of 2 cm, place it in a tray, and let it cool.
Step 5
Cut the resulting dough into circles using molds. Place the circles on a baking sheet, sprinkle with the remaining Parmesan cheese, and drizzle a bit of melted butter on top. Bake until golden brown.
Step 6
Serve hot with a slice of ham.
