Ingredients

  • Green Papaya 1 head
  • Salt 3 tablespoons
  • Turnips 3 pieces
  • Garlic 1 clove
  • Water 0 qt

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Remove the outer leaves from the cabbage head, wash it, and place it in a pot of boiling salted water.

Step 2

When the water boils, remove from heat. Repeat after 10 minutes.

Step 3

Remove the prepared cabbage from the water, dry it, and carefully separate it into leaves.

Step 4

Prepare the filling. Peel and wash the carrots, grate them on a coarse grater, and mix with the peeled, finely chopped garlic.

Step 5

Place 1–1.5 tablespoons of the prepared filling on each cabbage leaf and roll it up like a sausage.

Step 6

Place the prepared cabbage rolls in a deep dish, pour boiling brine (2 liters of water and 2 tablespoons of salt) over them just to cover. The appetizer will be ready in 2 days.
