Ingredients
- Sausages 20 oz
- Olive Oil 3 tablespoons
- Spanish onions 2 pieces
- Pasta (corkscrew) 10 oz
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Chopped Sage Leaves 0 oz
- Breadcrumbs 0 oz
- Grated Pecorino Pepato Cheese 0 oz
- Cream 22% 15 fl oz
- Butter 0 oz
- Wheat Flour 2 tablespoons
- Nutmeg to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Prepare the creamy sauce. To do this, sift the flour into a heated pan and, stirring constantly, dry it for one minute. Add the butter to the flour and continue stirring for another minute. Then, in a separate bowl, pour the cream and heat it, and into the already heated but not boiling cream, add the roasted flour with butter and nutmeg. Mix well to ensure the sauce is lump-free and bring to a boil.
Step 2
Preheat the oven to 390°F. Remove the skins from the sausages. Crumble them into small pieces. Heat half of the oil in a pan and fry the sausages for 3-4 minutes until a crust forms. Transfer to a plate and set aside.
Step 3
Pour the remaining oil into the pan and add the onion, cooking for another 5 minutes until golden brown. Boil the pasta in salted boiling water according to the package instructions.
Step 4
Drain the pasta and mix it with the sausages, onion, sage, and sauce. Season with salt and pepper and transfer to a baking dish. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs and cheese. Bake for 25-30 minutes until a golden crust forms.
