Ingredients
- Pork fat 20 oz
- Water 0 qt
- Onion to taste
- Salt 1½ tablespoons
- Bay leaf to taste
- Garlic 1 head
- Green peppercorns to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Pour onion peel into a pot, add black peppercorns, bay leaf, and salt. Pour in water and place on the stove. When the water boils, cook for 5 minutes, then remove most of the peel with a slotted spoon from the pot.
Step 2
Cut the pork fat into equal pieces and place them in the pot. After boiling, cook for 10-15 minutes. Then turn off the heat and let it sit for another 10 minutes.
Step 3
Transfer the pork fat to a separate container, sprinkle with finely chopped garlic, and mix thoroughly. Cool the pork fat and place it in the freezer.
