- Water 0 qt
- Salt 10 oz
- Sugar 5 oz
- Bay leaf 4 pieces
- Green peppercorns 1 tablespoon
- Cilantro 1 teaspoon

Step 1
Add all the spices to the water and boil for about 8-10 minutes.
Step 2
Cool to room temperature, place the herring in a plastic bucket or 3-liter jars, pour the solution over it, do not seal the lid tightly, the fish should breathe, and immediately place in the refrigerator for 2-3 (max) days.
