Salami Pizza
Pasta and Pizza • Italian
Description
If all the dough is placed on one baking sheet, it will turn into a pie, not a pizza.
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 20 oz
- Milk 10 fl oz
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
- Dry yeast 1 tablespoon
- Salt 1 teaspoon
- Vegetable Oil 3 tablespoons
- Sugar 1 teaspoon
- Spicy salami 5 oz
- Tomatoes 4 pieces
- Melted Cheese 10 oz
- Passata Tomato Sauce to taste
- Olive Oil 5 fl oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Beat the egg, milk, salt, sugar, and oil with a mixer. Add the flour and yeast — mix again. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 2 hours.
Step 2
Pour the dough onto a baking sheet greased with olive oil (or lined with parchment paper) (you can use two sheets if you prefer a thinner crust). Use a spoon greased with olive oil to evenly spread the dough (the dough will rise a bit more during baking; if there are very thin spots — it's not a problem).
Step 3
Evenly spread the tomato paste on the dough (you can add mayonnaise), then add the salami, tomatoes (it's best to cut them into rings or half-rings), and sprinkle everything with grated cheese.
Step 4
Bake for 25–30 minutes at 390°F.
