Ingredients
- Coarsely Ground Rye Flour 3 cups
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
- Butter 5 oz
- Sour Cream 2 tablespoons
- Salt to taste
- Sugar 2 tablespoons
- Baking Powder 1 teaspoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Beat the room temperature butter with sugar (or honey), add the egg, sour cream, and mix well.
Step 2
Gradually add the flour, baking powder or baking soda, and salt to taste to the mixture. Knead the dough. The dough should be elastic and not stick to your hands.
Step 3
Shape the flatbreads and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Step 4
Place in the oven. Bake for 20 minutes at 390°F, until done.
