Roasted Pumpkin with Olive Oil and Thyme
Ingredients
- Butternut Squash 1 piece
- Olive Oil to taste
- Coarse Salt a pinch
- Sugar a pinch
- Thyme 4 sprigs
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 430°F.
Step 2
Cut the pumpkin in half and remove the seeds. Then cut each half in half again.
Step 3
Place the pumpkin on a baking sheet lined with foil, cut side up. Drizzle with olive oil. Season with salt, pepper, and sprinkle with sugar. Place a sprig of thyme on each piece.
Step 4
Roast for about 30 minutes until tender. You can leave the pumpkin in the warm oven until serving. If it looks a bit dry, drizzle it with olive oil.
