Rice with Poached Egg
Ingredients
- Rice 10 oz
- Scallions 4 pieces
- Vegetable Oil 2 teaspoons
- Ground ancho chili pepper 1 piece
- Cilantro 1 tablespoon
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
- Chives 1 teaspoon
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Soy Sauce 1 teaspoon
- Vinegar essence 0 fl oz
- Dill 0 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Heat a pot, add oil, and grease the sides. Add the rice and sauté for 2–3 minutes. Add finely chopped green onions, deseeded chili, cilantro, season with salt and pepper. Mix well.
Step 2
Heat water in a saucepan, add vinegar. Crack the egg into a separate bowl. Tilting the bowl, gently pour the egg into the boiling water. Cook for 2.5–3 minutes. Use a slotted spoon to transfer the cooked egg to a plate, let it cool slightly.
Step 3
On a serving plate, place the rice, making a small indentation in the center for the egg. Place the egg in the indentation, season with pepper, and garnish the dish with a sprig of dill.
