Ingredients
- Onion ½ head
- Vegetable Oil 1 tablespoon
- Garlic 1 clove
- Long-Grain Rice 1 cup
- Water 2 cups
- Cilantro 5 tablespoons
- Lime 1 piece
- Salt to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a deep skillet, heat the vegetable oil, add finely chopped onion, and sauté until soft for 5-7 minutes.
Step 2
Add finely chopped garlic and sauté for another minute.
Step 3
Add the rice and sauté in the oil for a few minutes.
Step 4
Pour in the water, bring to a boil, reduce the heat, and cook covered for about 20 minutes until soft.
Step 5
Remove from heat and add the cilantro, lime juice, and grated lime zest. Mix well and salt to taste.
