Ingredients

  • Rice 5 oz
  • Water 15 fl oz
  • Condensed Milk 10 fl oz
  • Watermelon 5 oz
  • Sugar 0 oz
  • Butter 0 oz
  • Salt a pinch

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients.

Step 2

Remove seeds and skin from the melon, and cut it into large cubes.

Step 3

Melt the butter in a skillet, add sugar, a pinch of salt, and sauté the melon until caramelized.

Step 4

Pour in the condensed milk and cook until the melon is soft.

Step 5

Blend the melon-milk mixture in a blender.

Step 6

Bring the water to a boil in a pot.

Step 7

Rinse the rice and transfer it to the pot. Cook uncovered until the water is absorbed by the rice.

Step 8

Pour in the melon milk and cook, stirring, until the rice is done.

Step 9

Serve the rice porridge, garnished with candied melon.
