Red Cabbage with Apple
Ingredients
- Onion 5 oz
- Butter 0 oz
- Red Currant 25 oz
- Red Grape Juice 5 fl oz
- Vinegar essence 1 teaspoon
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Apple 20 oz
- Salt to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Slice the cabbage and apples into thin strips. Finely chop the onion.
Step 2
Place the onion in a large microwave-safe dish. Add the butter and microwave for a couple of minutes. Add the cabbage, wine, and vinegar, cover with a lid, and cook for another 3 minutes. Add the apples, mix well, season with salt and pepper, cover with a lid, and cook for another 3 minutes.
Step 3
Check if the cabbage is tender – if not, cook for another 2 minutes, adding hot water if necessary.
