Ingredients

  • Peeled chestnuts 0 oz
  • Olive Oil 1 teaspoon
  • Shallot 1 piece
  • Pears 2 pieces
  • Apple Cider Vinegar 6 tablespoons
  • Honey 3 tablespoons
  • Ground clove 4 pieces
  • Light Raisins, Seedless 0 oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 375°F. Spread the walnuts on a baking sheet and roast until golden brown for 7–9 minutes. Let cool and chop coarsely.

Step 2

Heat the olive oil in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the finely chopped shallot and sauté until soft, about 2 minutes.

Step 3

Meanwhile, core the pears and chop them finely.

Step 4

Add the pears, vinegar, honey, and cloves to the onion. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, and simmer until soft for 4–5 minutes.

Step 5

Remove the cloves and stir in the raisins and walnuts. Remove from heat. Serve warm.
