Ingredients

  • Ground Oats 0 oz
  • 3.2% Milk 5 fl oz
  • Salt a pinch
  • Ground Cinnamon ½ teaspoon
  • Clove 1 piece
  • Ground Nutmeg a pinch
  • Chestnut puree 5 oz
  • Grated Ginger Root ¼ teaspoon
  • Demerara Sugar 1½ tablespoons
  • Dried cranberries with sugar to taste
  • Walnuts to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Pour the milk into a saucepan and place it over medium heat. Bring the milk to a boil. Add a pinch of salt, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, clove, and sugar. Stir in the oats and cook over medium heat, stirring, for about 5–7 minutes until thickened. Without removing the saucepan from the heat, stir in the pumpkin puree and cook for another 3–4 minutes until fully thickened. After that, remove the oatmeal from the heat, cover with a lid, and let it sit for a couple of minutes.

Step 2

Serve the oatmeal, mixing in dried cranberries and walnuts to taste.
