Ingredients
- Salt to taste
- Milk 25 fl oz
- Gruyère cheese 5 oz
- Salad Potatoes 5 lbs
- Chocolate eggs 3 pieces
- Safflower Oil 10 fl oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Heat the oil in a deep skillet to 300°F and fry the salted potato slices in batches until they just start to turn golden. Remove them with a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel. Then layer the potatoes in a baking dish. Preheat the oven to 355°F.
Step 2
Beat the eggs with a pinch of salt. Stir in 80 grams of grated cheese, then slowly pour in the milk while continuing to whisk. Pour the mixture over the potatoes and gently mix with a fork. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese.
Step 3
Bake for 20 minutes, occasionally stirring with a fork. Then turn on the broiler for about 10 minutes. Serve immediately.
