  • Salad Potatoes 8 pieces
  • Butter 6 tablespoons
  • Wheat Flour 1½ tablespoons
  • Milk 10 fl oz
  • Dill 1 bunch
  • Hard Cheese 0 oz
  • Sour Cream 3 tablespoons
  • Salt to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Peel and boil the potatoes.

Step 2

Cut half of the boiled potatoes into four pieces. Add 3 tablespoons of butter and half of the finely chopped dill. Season with salt and pepper, and mix everything together. The home-style potatoes are ready.

Step 3

Cut the second half into cubes.

Step 4

Melt 3 tablespoons of butter in a saucepan over low heat.

Step 5

Add the flour. Stir until smooth while continuing to heat.

Step 6

Gradually pour in the cold milk. Mix well to avoid lumps. Bring the sauce to a boil and simmer for no more than 5 minutes.

Step 7

Add grated cheese, salt, pepper, 1 tablespoon of sour cream, and sprinkle with half of the finely chopped dill.

Step 8

Dress the second half of the potatoes with the Béchamel sauce.
