Description

The base of the batter is made from potatoes and fermented milk, seasoned with onions and garlic. These flavorful pancakes are delightful on their own or paired with fish, for example. Recipe by Chef John Smith.

Ingredients

  • Potato 10 oz
  • Onion 0 oz
  • Ryzhenka 5 fl oz
  • Garlic 2 cloves
  • Chicken Egg 1 piece
  • Water 5 fl oz
  • Vegetable Oil 2 spoons
  • Salt 1 tablespoon
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste
  • Wheat Flour 5 oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Cut the potatoes and onions into small pieces. Blend them together with the fermented baked milk and garlic until smooth.

Step 2

Add the egg, water, oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well. Gradually add the flour while continuing to stir to avoid lumps.

Step 3

Heat a skillet over medium heat. Pour in a small amount of batter and cook the pancakes for a couple of minutes on each side until they are golden brown.
