Description
Potato pancakes, also known as meat-stuffed patties or just mashed potato cakes; you can call them whatever you like. The essence remains unchanged: creamy mashed potatoes, juicy meat filling, and a hot skillet.
Ingredients
- Potato 8 pieces
- Onion 1 head
- Ground meat 15 oz
- Wheat Flour 1 glass
- Chicken Egg 2 pieces
- Herbs 1 bunch
- Salt to taste
- Vegetable Oil to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Peel the potatoes and cut them into large chunks.
Step 2
Boil the potatoes until tender, about 20–25 minutes.
Step 3
Mash the potatoes into a puree.
Step 4
Finely chop the onion.
Step 5
Sauté the onion until golden brown.
Step 6
Add the ground meat to the onions and sauté until cooked through. Season with salt and pepper at the end.
Step 7
Chop the herbs.
Step 8
Beat an egg into the mashed potatoes, add just over half a cup of flour, and knead the resulting dough well.
Step 9
Mix the ground meat with herbs.
Step 10
Shape the patties with the filling inside. Coat them in flour.
Step 11
Fry in vegetable oil on both sides until golden brown. Serve with sour cream.
