Ingredients
- Potato 10 oz
- Wheat Flour 20 oz
- Baking Powder 0 oz
- Butter 0 oz
- Lemon 1 piece
- Chicken Egg 2 pieces
- Milk 5 fl oz
- Sugar 5 oz
- Nutmeg ½ spoons
- White Pepper (whole) to taste
- Salt to taste
- Vegetable Oil 1½ l
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Peel the potatoes and cut them into 2.5 cm cubes. Boil in salted water until tender.
Step 2
Drain in a colander and pat dry, then blend with milk and melted butter in a mixer. Add salt, sugar, and lemon zest.
Step 3
Then add the eggs, nutmeg, and gradually sift in the flour with the baking powder.
Step 4
Roll the dough into balls about the size of a small plum. Fry them in hot oil until golden brown.
Step 5
Sprinkle the finished churros with a mixture of nutmeg, sugar, and white pepper. They pair wonderfully with a cup of coffee.
