Ingredients

  • Large eggs 1 piece
  • Water 0 qt
  • Vinegar essence 1 teaspoon
  • Vegetables to taste
  • Sourdough Bread 1 piece

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Boil the water and reduce the heat so it simmers gently but does not boil. Add vinegar to the water.

Step 2

Carefully pierce the clean egg with a sharp pin at the air cell (the wide end of the egg), place it in a tablespoon, and lower the spoon into the water for 10 seconds.

Step 3

Remove the egg from the water. Gently crack it and pour the white and yolk into a small bowl.

Step 4

Create a small whirlpool in the pot with a spatula and pour the egg into the resulting vortex. Make sure it doesn't break apart in the pot and cook for 4 minutes.

Step 5

Use a slotted spoon to place the egg in a bowl of cool water to reduce the vinegar presence.

Step 6

Toast the bread, place the poached egg on top, and serve with vegetables and herbs.
