
Plum Sauce for Grilled Meat

Description
Serve with grilled beef, pork, and chicken. It also pairs well with duck meat.
Ingredients
- Plums 25 oz
- Garlic 2 cloves
- Brown Sugar 0.3 cups
- Apple Cider Vinegar 0.3 cups
- Water 0.3 cups
- Salt ½ teaspoon
- Grated Ginger Root ½ teaspoon
- Ground Black Pepper ¼ teaspoon
- Ground clove ¼ teaspoon
- Cayenne Pepper 0.1 teaspoons
- Cinnamon 1 piece
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Pit the plums and cut them into quarters. Transfer to a saucepan.
Step 2
Add the minced garlic, sugar, vinegar, water, salt, ginger, black and allspice peppers, cayenne pepper, and the cinnamon stick.
Step 3
Bring to a boil, stirring, then reduce the heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the plums turn into a puree, about 35–45 minutes.
Step 4
Remove from heat and let cool. Then remove the cinnamon stick.
