Pizza with Sweet Peppers and Ham
Pasta and Pizza • Italian
Description
For aesthetics, you can use peppers of different colors. I used 00 flour made from soft wheat; regular flour will not yield the same dough.
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 10 oz
- Water 5 fl oz
- Olive Oil 2 tablespoons
- Salt 1 teaspoon
- Dry yeast 0 oz
- Orange Bell Peppers 1 piece
- Melted Cheese 5 oz
- Ham 5 oz
- Spicy salami 5 oz
- Passata Tomato Sauce 0 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Pour the flour onto a work surface, make a well in the center, pour in warm water, then add olive oil, yeast, salt, and gradually start mixing the flour from the edges into the liquid.
Step 2
Knead the dough until it stops sticking, place it in a bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for one hour.
Step 3
Meanwhile, slice the peppers into small strips, cut the ham into small pieces, slice the salami into half-moons, and grate the cheese (or slice it thinly).
Step 4
You can use store-bought tomato sauce or make your own. Sauté tomatoes in their juice with fried garlic for 15 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
Step 5
Place the dough on a work surface, knead it, and roll it out thinly (about 1 cm thick) — this amount of dough can make one large or two medium pizzas.
Step 6
Spread the dough with tomato sauce, arrange the ham, salami, and peppers in a circle, and generously sprinkle with cheese.
Step 7
Place in an oven preheated to 390°F for 10–15 minutes or at 480°F for 8–10 minutes.
