Pizza with a Thin Crispy Base
Ingredients
- Sour Cream 2 tablespoons
- Kefir 5 fl oz
- Salt ⅓ teaspoon
- Sugar a pinch
- Activated Baking Soda 1 teaspoon
- Margarine 0 oz
- Wheat Flour 1½ cups
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Mix kefir and sour cream with a fork, add salt and baking soda — foam will form in 1–2 minutes.
Step 2
Add sugar and margarine.
Step 3
Add flour and knead a very soft (possibly slightly sticky) dough.
Step 4
Immediately place it on a greased baking sheet and flatten it with your hands (the layer should not be thick).
Step 5
Add the filling (I use layers of onion, smoked sausage, cheese (I prefer mozzarella), and mayonnaise).
Step 6
Mayonnaise should be the last layer (a thin drizzle from the packet). I really like 'Provençal herbs' — sprinkle a pinch on top.
Step 7
Bake at 355°F until golden brown.
