Pizza Roll with Cottage Cheese and Watercress
Ingredients
- Butter 0 oz
- Pizza Flour 10 oz
- Onion 1 head
- Watercress 3 bunches
- Cottage cheese 10 oz
- Cheese Spread 0 oz
- Meyer Lemon Juice 1 tablespoon
- Salt to taste
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a saucepan, melt the butter, add finely chopped onion, and sauté until soft for 5 minutes.
Step 2
Add finely chopped watercress and cook for another 3 minutes.
Step 3
Remove from heat, add cottage cheese, 2 tablespoons of cheese, lemon juice, and egg. Mix well, season with pepper and salt. Cool until firm.
Step 4
Grease a baking sheet with butter.
Step 5
Dust the surface where you will roll out the dough with flour and roll it into a rectangle.
Step 6
Evenly spread the filling over the dough, leaving the edges free. Roll it up from the wider end. Seal the edges of the dough well.
Step 7
Cut into 8-10 slices and place them on the baking sheet. Cover with plastic wrap and let rest for 30 minutes.
Step 8
Sprinkle the rolls with the remaining cheese.
Step 9
Bake for 20 minutes in the oven at 220°C (428°F) until the dough is golden brown.
Step 10
Garnish with watercress.
