Description
Pistou is the French version of Italian pesto that originated in Provence. It typically does not include nuts.
Ingredients
- Garlic 3 cloves
- Fresh basil leaves 3 cups
- Salt ½ teaspoon
- Olive Oil 6 tablespoons
- Grated Pecorino Pepato Cheese 5 oz
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a food processor, chop the garlic. Add the basil leaves and salt, and chop again until very fine.
Step 2
While continuing to blend, slowly pour in the olive oil. Then add the cheese and mix well again. Season with pepper and transfer to a bowl.
