Ingredients
- Tomatoes 5 lbs
- Orange Bell Peppers 2 pieces
- Cucumbers 6 pieces
- Garlic 7 cloves
- Water 0 qt
- Salt 3 tablespoons
- Sugar 3 tablespoons
- Table vinegar 10 fl oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Wash the cucumbers, cut them in half, and pierce each half with a fork 1–2 times.
Step 2
It is better to use small tomatoes, preferably plum tomatoes. Also pierce each tomato with a fork 1–2 times.
Step 3
Cut the bell peppers into large slices, peel and roughly chop the garlic, and chop the herbs.
Step 4
Place the prepared cucumbers, tomatoes, and peppers in a container (I usually use a pot that holds 4 to 5 liters), layering them with herbs and garlic, and add peppercorns and a few bay leaves.
Step 5
Boil the water with salt and sugar, then add the vinegar.
Step 6
Pour the boiling brine over the vegetables, cover with a lid. Let it cool, and when it is completely cool, put it in the refrigerator. It can be consumed the next day.
