- Green peppercorns 5 pieces

Step 1
Pour the vinegar and vegetable oil into a saucepan, add the onion sliced into thin rings, bay leaf, and whole peppercorns.
Step 2
Heat the onion to 75–175°F, then quickly cool it down.
Step 3
Store the onion in non-oxidizing containers in the refrigerator. The onion will keep for up to 7 days.
