Penne with Vodka
Ingredients
- Salt to taste
- Olive Oil ¼ cup
- Garlic 12 cloves
- Vodka ¼ cup
- Baking Tomatoes 30 oz
- Cream ¾ cup
- Parmesan Cheese 5 oz
- Herbs to taste
- Penne rigate 20 oz
- Mild Chili Spice 1 teaspoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Cook the penne in boiling salted water for about 11 minutes, or according to the package instructions.
Step 2
Meanwhile, in vegetable oil, sauté the thinly sliced garlic and chili flakes. After 3 minutes, add the crushed tomatoes and vodka to the garlic and chili. Cook the sauce for approximately 5–7 minutes. Then add the cream and cheese, seasoning with salt and pepper.
Step 3
Drain the cooked pasta and transfer it to the pot with the sauce; mix well to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce. Serve on plates and sprinkle with herbs.
