- Milk 0 qt
- Wheat Flour 0 oz
- Butter 5 oz
- Cooked Ham 5 oz
- Parmesan Cheese 5 oz
- Salt to taste
- Emmental cheese 0 oz

Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Prepare the sauce. To do this, melt 100 grams of butter in a saucepan and, while stirring, gradually add flour until a perfectly homogeneous mixture is formed. Without letting your hand rest, slowly pour in almost a liter of hot milk. Cook, stirring with a wooden spoon, for fifteen minutes. Season the sauce with salt, white pepper, and nutmeg.
Step 2
Boil the pasta in salted water. Grate the Parmesan and Emmental cheese, and chop the ham into small pieces.
Step 3
In a large bowl, pour the béchamel sauce over the cooked pasta, add cheese and ham, and mix well.
Step 4
Transfer to a baking dish and arrange pieces of butter on top.
Step 5
Bake for 30 minutes in an oven preheated to 390°F.
