Pasta with Tuna
Ingredients
- Pasta shells 10 oz
- Fresh basil leaves 2 sprigs
- Semi-soft cream cheese 2 tablespoons
- Marinated cherries 5 oz
- Olive Oil 2 tablespoons
- Canned tuna in its own juice 5 oz
- Garlic 1 clove
- Pink Himalayan Salt to taste
- Mayonnaise 1 tablespoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Pour drinking water into a pot and set to high heat. Add salt.
Step 2
Add a tablespoon of olive oil to the boiling water.
Step 3
Add the pasta and reduce the heat. Stir. Cook for the time indicated on the package.
Step 4
Cut the cherry tomatoes in half. Add salt.
Step 5
Finely chop the garlic.
Step 6
Separate the basil leaves from the stems.
Step 7
Heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a pan.
Step 8
Add the tomatoes.
Step 9
Sauté for 3–4 minutes over medium heat.
Step 10
Drain the pasta using a colander.
Step 11
Add the garlic to the cherry tomatoes.
Step 12
Add the basil.
Step 13
Add the cream cheese.
Step 14
Stir and sauté over medium heat for about 2 minutes.
Step 15
Add the tuna. Stir.
Step 16
Add the fusilli to the sauce, along with the mayonnaise, and mix.
Step 17
Serve in a deep plate.
