Pasta with Tomatoes and Shrimp
Pasta and Pizza • Italian
Description
You can actually substitute shrimp with chicken, mussels, or squid, in general, whatever you prefer; it will be just as delicious, filling, and balanced!
Ingredients
- Spaghetti 5 oz
- King Prawns 5 oz
- Tomatoes 5 pieces
- Garlic 2 cloves
- Butter 0 oz
- Pasilla Pepper to taste
- Safflower Oil 0 fl oz
- Parmesan Cheese to taste
- Spices to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Prepare the necessary ingredients.
Step 2
Boil the spaghetti in salted water until al dente, drain in a colander, and reserve one ladle of the cooking water for the sauce.
Step 3
Pat the thawed shrimp dry with a paper towel and sauté them over high heat with garlic and a splash of sunflower oil. Cook for one minute on each side, then remove from the pan.
Step 4
Next, sauté the halved cocktail tomatoes until slightly softened and browned — this will give the dish a rich and appetizing flavor, but do not let them completely soften; they should remain in quarters in the pasta.
Step 5
Add the shrimp, spaghetti, and a bit of the reserved pasta cooking water to the sautéed tomatoes; at this stage, you can also add spices and butter (any spices can be used).
Step 6
Simmer everything together for just 2 minutes, allowing the spaghetti to absorb the flavors of the tomatoes, shrimp, and spices.
Step 7
Serve the finished dish on a plate and, while the pasta is still hot, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
