Description

If possible, use 'black' pasta colored with cuttlefish ink for this recipe.

Ingredients

  • Pasta (corkscrew) 20 oz
  • Seafood cocktail 0 lbs
  • Olive Oil 7 tablespoons
  • Garlic 2 cloves
  • Mild Chili Spice 1 piece
  • Salt to taste
  • Baking Tomatoes 1 can
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Cook the pasta al dente in salted water (al dente pasta is slightly firm to the bite).

Step 2

In a deep skillet, heat the olive oil and sauté the garlic and red pepper over low heat.

Step 3

Increase the heat and add the seafood to the skillet.

Step 4

Mix well to coat all the seafood with the oil, reduce the heat, and cook for 2–3 minutes.

Step 5

Add the tomatoes, lightly crushing them with a fork. Season with salt and pepper.

Step 6

Bring to a gentle simmer. Cook on low heat for 5–10 minutes until the tomatoes break down.

Step 7

Drain the cooked pasta in a colander and add it to the skillet with the seafood.

Step 8

Mix well and cook for 1–2 minutes.
