Pasta with Pumpkin, Sage, and Walnut Sauce
Ingredients
- Garlic 3 cloves
- Onion ½ head
- Olive Oil 2 tablespoons
- Milk 5 fl oz
- Chicken Broth 5 fl oz
- Chestnut puree 10 fl oz
- Chopped Sage Leaves 1¼ teaspoons
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Chopped almonds 0 oz
- Pasta (corkscrew) to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a deep skillet, heat the olive oil and sauté the finely chopped onion until soft over medium heat for 3-5 minutes.
Step 2
Add the finely chopped garlic and sauté for another minute.
Step 3
Then add the broth, milk, pumpkin puree, and sage. Mix well, bring to a boil, reduce the heat, and cook for 8-10 minutes.
Step 4
Meanwhile, boil the pasta in salted boiling water until cooked.
Step 5
Season the sauce with salt and pepper and stir in the walnuts. Remove from heat.
Step 6
Drain the pasta and serve, topped with the pumpkin sauce.
