Description

Pasta with Prosciutto and Leeks

Ingredients

  • Fettuccine Pasta 5 oz
  • Leek 3 pieces
  • Olive Oil 0 fl oz
  • Butter 0 oz
  • Garlic 1 head
  • Oregano 0 oz
  • Dry White Wine 5 fl oz
  • Prosciutto 5 oz
  • Parmesan Cheese 0 oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Wash the leeks, finely chop them, and mince the garlic.

Step 2

In a deep skillet, heat a mix of olive oil and butter, sauté the garlic and fresh oregano for one minute. Add the leeks, cook for a couple of minutes, pour in half a glass of wine, let the alcohol evaporate, and stir everything together.

Step 3

Layer the prosciutto over the leeks carefully to cover the entire surface. Let it cook on low heat for 30 minutes.

Step 4

Meanwhile, prepare the pasta: it's best to use fresh fettuccine, but you can use your favorite pasta.

Step 5

Boil the pasta and drain most of the water.

Step 6

Once the leeks are ready, remove the prosciutto (you can slice it and add it back to the sauce), add a bit of butter and grated parmesan. Then, add the pasta with a small amount of water.

Step 7

Serve garnished with cheese and oregano.
