Pasta with Pork Sausages, Apples, and Cheese
Ingredients
- Salted Butter 4 tablespoons
- Onion 1 head
- Pork Skewers 20 oz
- Sage 1 tablespoon
- Pickled Apples 3 pieces
- Wheat Flour 1 cup
- Apple Cider Vinegar 1 cup
- Milk 1 cup
- Cheshire Cheese 20 oz
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Pasta shells 20 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 355°F. Chop the onion coarsely. Remove the casing from the sausages. In a saucepan, melt the butter. Sauté the onion until translucent, then add the sausages and cook, breaking the sausages into small pieces. Sauté until golden brown. Add the sage and chopped apple and continue cooking for 5 minutes.
Step 2
Stir in the flour and cook for another 2 minutes. Then pour in the vinegar and after 2 minutes, add the milk. Cook for about 8 minutes, stirring, until the sauce thickens. Add half of the grated cheese, season with salt and pepper, and cook until the cheese melts.
Step 3
Meanwhile, boil the pasta until al dente, then drain the water. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the meat and mix well. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and sprinkle with the remaining cheese.
Step 4
Bake for about 45 minutes. Allow to cool slightly and serve. Enjoy your meal!
